On my recent trip to visit family, Blossom, my sister-in-law, made this yummy cauliflower dish. It was delicious with chappatis and was relished by everyone. The cream added a satisfying richness to the dish. It was such a success that I thought I'd share this recipe on the foodblog.
Ingredients:
Cauliflower - 1 medium size
Onions - 2
Tomato - 1
Ginger paste - 1 tsp
Garlic paste -1 tsp
Coriander powder - 3 tsp
Kasmiri red chilli powder-1tsp
Turmeric powder - 1/4 tsp
Cumin powder - 1/2 tsp
Fennel powder - 1/2 tsp
Cream - 2 tbsp
Salt to taste
Method:
Clean and cut the cauliflower into florets. Steam the florets until half cooked. Fry them in oil until light brown and keep aside.
Mix all masala powders and the ginger-garlic pastes with little water. Saute chopped onion in hot oil till light brown. Add masala paste and fry on low heat till oil seperates Add finely chopped tomato and saute well.
Add fried florets and cream and mix well on low heat. Remove and garnish with finely cut coriander (cilantro) leaves and a little cream. Serve hot with rotis or plain parathas.
